These pieces come from the In the Hood installation that opened at the New Gallery of Modern Art in Charlotte in 2014. The suggestion that the Tea Party, in many ways tantamount to the new KKK, in subversive ways mock race today in ways just as damaging as the black face entertainers of the 1830s and 1950s.
